AGRA The city of Agra is about 200 Kms from Delhi and is well connected by road and rail. Agra was the capital of Mughals and the city has retained the Mughal fever in its buildings and social life. Taj Mahal built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal is one of the most extravagant monument ever built for love. Agra also has the imposing Red fort built by Akbar. Near Agra is Fatehpur Sikri built in Red sandstone and has some of the best examples of Rajputana architecture in combination with Moghul architecture.

JAIPUR The capital of Rajasthan Jaipur is about 265 kms from Delhi and is wellconnected by air, rail and road. In Jaipur culture, tradition, art and architecture of Rajasthan appear in full bloom. Hawa Mahal, Amer Palace, Nahargarh Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar and many other places are worth visiting. Jaipur is the corridor to other places in Rajasthan.

BHARATPUR BIRDS SANCTUARY Bharatpur famous for the Keoladeo national park, popularly known as the Bharatpur Bird sanctuary is connected by road and rail. The sanctuary is the home for hundreds of species of birds, reptiles and animals. In winters, the park is visited by migratory birds.

SULTANPUR LAKE About an hour and a half from Delhi is located a peaceful picnic spot - Sultanpur Lake. Sultanpur was developed as a Bird sanctuary on the lines of Bharatpur. The lake has many species of birds including at times migratory birds.

Badhkal Lake About 30 kms away Badhkal Lake is a natural pool surrounded by vast lawns and lush greenery. The lake is a popular picnic spot and offers boating facilities.

Surajkund Situated 11 km from Qutab Minar, Surajkund is the site of a perennial lake surrounded by rock-cut steps. The remains of the the Sun temple built by a Tomar chieftain named Surajpal can still be seen. The centuries old craft traditions of India are displayed at the annual Surajkund Crafts Mela. Craftsmen from all over the country assemble at Surajkund during the first fortnight of February to participate in the annual celebration.
